Lisa and Christian from retailer Kombi Crazy recently attended the Manly Festival of Surfing as members of the Kombi Club. The Kombi Club members caused quite a spectacle as they paraded through the streets of Sydney.

Members initially rallied at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair in the eastern suburbs with 74 Kombis lined up, which as you can imagine gave the local parking a bit of a stretch.

From there the huge convoy of Kombis headed north across the Sydney Harbour Bridge towards Manly and you can imagine the spectacle, as by the time they headed down the split, 3 lanes wide, there were 85 Kombis including some late comers.

Police had to stop the traffic to enable the convoy to get parked along the Promenade at Manly during the Manly Festival of Surfing event.

You can meet Lisa and Christian of Kombi Krazy at their market stall at the upcoming Run To The Sun Volkswagon show and Fun Day to be held next weekend Sunday 29th November 2009 at the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds on the Gold Coast.

Entry for the Run To The Sun event on the Gold Coast is just $10 per car and organisers hope you will bring along your VW of any model and any condition and join in the fun.

Events include; Park and Display, Swap Meet, combi Cook-Off, How many people squeeze into a Kombi Competition, Sausage Sizzle, Food and drink stalls and of course the Kombi Krazy market stall where you can buy VW and Kombi souvenirs, T-Shirts. Model Combis and Beetles etc.
