I am delighted to announce that the Australian Gift & Homewares Association has acquired Fashion Exposed, in a strategic move to strengthen our trade fairs, support more wholesalers and retailers, and to attract more members to grow the influence of our Association.
Fashion Exposed will now run alongside the Home & Giving Fairs in both Sydney and Melbourne, providing retailers with an all-encompassing event that will benefit exhibitors at both events, and all buyers nationally.
This move adds massive value to the Sydney Home & Giving Fair, which will now be promoted as the largest and most comprehensive gift, homewares and fashion event in Sydney – in a move to attract new buyers across all segments.
Housed in the massive expansion of 32,000 square metres at Sydney Olympic Park, the Home & Giving Fair will continue to run with its existing Fashion segments in the Dome, Halls 2-4 and the Howie, with Fashion Exposed utilising the new halls 5-6 which will be connected with two internal visitor traffic thoroughfares, plus its own visitor entry.
Dual marketing campaigns for both Fashion Exposed and the Home & Giving Fair will promote this as the one and only must-see destination for fashion, apparel, bags, accessories, jewellery and shoes in Sydney. With time-poor buyers demanding a ‘one-stop-shop’ for this sector, they will no longer have to go anywhere else for all their buying needs in Sydney. Fashion Exposed will also run alongside the Home & Giving Fair in Melbourne in August.
We are also developing many new initiatives to create more ambiance, buzz and excitement at Fashion Exposed which will provide us the opportunity to attract even more quality brands to exhibit, which in turn will attract even more buyers. We have already received strong new expressions of interest from many exhibitors currently doing other events, as well as those who have not exhibited for many years now looking to return.
These are exciting times and I’m sure that all AGHA exhibiting members will benefit from this move to strengthen the fairs because strong fairs attract more buyers. This strategic move in the fashion segment will also benefit gift and homewares suppliers as more retailers move to diversify their in-store product offering, and spread word-of-mouth recommendations about the power of AGHA events to buyers across all segments.
We’ll be sending out more detailed information on this in our wholesaler and retailer e-newsletters, but in the meantime, please spread the word that the Home & Giving Fair encompassing Fashion Exposed is the place to be in Sydney in February, and Melbourne in August.
